Manmade Island in Abu Dhabi

Lulu Island, Abu Dhabi is a large manmade island. It stretches from the Abu Dhabi Breakwater to the Zayed Sea Port. It is 7 kilometres in length, 3 kms of which faces Abu Dhabi Corniche.

In April 2007, the Abu Dhabi government opened the island to the public. The objective of the government for Lulu island development is to create a special world of experiences, combining entertainment with the cultural, recreational, fun and leisure elements.

The Lulu Island, Abu Dhabi has lovely beaches and this place will surely become a hub of people who want to indulge in water sports in Abu Dhabi. Once this project is absolutely complete, LuLu Island will certainly give a warm welcome to all the tourists who are on tours to Dubai & thus help in growth of Tourism in Dubai.

How to Reach Lulu Island,Abu Dhabi

Boats take visitors from a jetty near the Emirates Heritage Village to Lulu Island, where buses and a little train take them around the island. There are four boats, and each can carry 25 people, and a sea bus which can carry 60 people.

Entry & Fares to visit Lulu Island, Abu Dhabi

The tickets to visit the island are priced at Dh15 for adults. Children less than five years of age are admitted free of charge. The ticket includes the fee for a trip to the island in an air-conditioned vessel with a capacity to ferry 60 passengers, or another 25-seater ferry, which will sail every 30 minutes from the marina near the Heritage Village near Abu Dhabi Corniche.

Visitors can tour Lulu island in an open-roof train at a cost of Dh5 per person. Each trip of the 25-seater train takes around 15 minutes to complete. Lulu Island is an ongoing development, with new facilities being added all the time.

It is a wonderful relaxing leisure facility for both the local people of Abu Dhabi and visitors to the UAE. Lulu Island in Abu Dhabi is certainly a recreational paradise for the tourists.
