Alexander had visited Egypt to fight Persian invaders. Later, he became the king of Egypt and ruled successfully. Alexandria has five districts –Alpha, Beta, Gama, Delta and Epsilon. The initials of these five districts send out a message that Alexander, the great king has erected this city.
