Air travel is the most convenient and easily available mode of getting to Qatar. Travelers can also choose between land and sea travel for their visit to Qatar.

Visitors from the region often opt for road travel to Qatar. Since the country is surrounded by the Arabian Gulf on three sides, there is just one way of getting in Qatar by land. This only route is through Saudi Arabia, Qatar's immediate neighbor.

Many travelers hire cars to reach Qatar from Saudi Arabia. However, night travel on this route is not recommended. You can also travel to Qatar using bus service from Saudi Arabia. These buses do not have fixed routes and are usually quite uncomfortable.

Azure waters of the Arabian Gulf are used as modes of sea travel into Qatar. Neighboring regions like Dubai and Iran operate small commercial boats in and out of Qatar on a frequent basis.
